Having children is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea. A lot of people decide not to have kids at all. But if you’re here because you are unsure, then you’ve come to the right place. Here are a few pros and cons of having children:
Con: It Is Exhausting
For many women, pregnancy is a cause of utter fatigue. In the early months of pregnancy, women are hardly able to function. Some folks experience acne breakouts, some have gained weight, and many people say their backs hurt. In addition, you will be emotionally unstable. You’d also have to give up daily habits like smoking, drinking alcohol, eating junk food, and a variety of other things when you’re pregnant. You must continue to limit yourself even after giving birth because you must breastfeed.
Furthermore, after birth, you will have the responsibility of being at your child’s beck and call. At any time of the day or night, if your child needs you, you have to be there and newborns need you almost all the time except for when they’re sleeping. Be prepared for sleepless nights, endless cries and midnight diaper changes.
Con: There Are A Lot Of Costs
You will have to spend quite a lot of money. Childbirth is something you have to fork out money for too, quite a lot at that. Then comes the milk formula, diapers, clothes, cradle and every other thing babies need like Pigeon baby products. It doesn’t just stop when they’re babies, it will go on until they are adults who can manage on their own. So, until they’re at least going into their 20s, you are obligated to support them in every way they need, especially in terms of finance.

Con: Childbirth Is One Of The Most Painful Things
Not only does childbirth cost a lot of money, but it also costs a lot of your energy too. To put it in a simple way, you would be risking your life as you give birth, and yes, people have passed away from giving birth. No matter what method you choose to give birth, it will hurt like a ton of bricks breaking your back. If you’re giving birth naturally, well, that will take over 10 hours or maybe more than a day and your vagina will literally tear open. On the other hand, if you are going through a c-section, it will be quick but you will feel pain in the aftermath. So, think about whether you really want to go through with that or do you want to use protection instead?
Pro: Having A Baby Changes Your Life
Once you’ve had a baby, almost every single thing in your life may change. It may be overwhelming but a lot of mothers say that when they look at their baby and see look into their beautiful eyes with their tiny hands holding onto your finger, you’ll feel as though your world is complete. You’ll get the honours of experiencing every single one of your child’s firsts, teach them and watch them grow as well. You’ll feel complete. You’ll feel accomplished.
